I've heard the saying, 'Write what you know' from somewhere or someone, maybe from a movie...I don't know. So what do I know? I feel like I'm one of those people who knows a little bit about a lot of things, but I don't feel like I'm an expert in any area. I do, however, have people tell me all the time that I listen to bands that they have never heard of. I have other people show me new music and then I show it to others and so on. Maybe I do have something to share then...Today's topic: Ace Enders (and A Million Different People). I like this guy, love his voice, and appreciate his affinity for long band names. I met him back in 2002 when his band, The Early November (TEN), was playing at Alley Katz in Richmond, VA. Now TEN is no more, but Ace had a side project, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business. They released an album awhile back, but what he's really focusing on now is his (more or less) solo project, Ace Enders and A Million Different People. My favorite song that I've heard so far is Over This. I found an acoustic version on YouTube, just in case my attempt to post the video on this page is unsuccessful. And hey, I'm feeling nice today so I'm gonna save you some time and give you the lyrics too.
Over This by Ace Enders - Let's just say, that I am over this. I am done with it, and moving on. So let's pretend, that it was perfect. And it was worth it, and all is good. But it's hard times, to make it seem alright. Oh please because, we need some saving to help prevent our hearts from breaking. So we can say that all of this was worth it. So let's just say, that I deserved it. I worked and earned it, would that be wrong? We're moving on, never regret it. And please don't expect it 'cause we're on our own. But it's hard times, to make it seem alright. Oh please because, we need some saving to help prevent our hearts from breaking. So we can say that all of this was worth it. We need some saving to help prevent our hearts from breaking. So we can say that all of this was worth it. We need some saving to help prevent our hearts from breaking. So we can say that all of this was worth it.
